SOO ive been away from this blog page for i dont know how long.. the reasoning equals out to be no internet connection in my apartment ... sad sad story i know!
This results in more working on sketching and designs.. Im in the process of starting a clothing line called IndiVISUAL eventually i will have a full cut and sewn men and womens collection. For all you savvy business people and real designers, shout out to me you never know what may be a mad hot colaboration. I have the designs and even the sourcing i would like to use.. BUT what is everyones issue this day and age? FINANCIAL BACKING... *ADVICE* save your money.. and work hard.. i could use that advice myself..
::now for some fun style tips::
As you know I am a visual and sales stylist and NORDSTROM at North Park center in Dallas,TX. Working with Nordstrom Ive learned to engage with many different clients for all different markets. whether you are shopping for your toddler, husband or yourself. Everyone needs clothing, most people dont know what they want when shopping. That is your job to show your customers what hot item they are missing from their closet.
I have a few customers who have been brave enough to allow me to take pictures of the outfits i have put together to showcase for you all to see my master styling skills.
I however do not have these pics available now they will be added soon.
NOW SIMPLE STYLING TIPS FOR ALL
-Be aware of your appearance, everyone can tell when you are "not trying" have on your "fat jeans",, what do they call em these days. "your boyfriend denim!" When meeting new people your appearance is always the first impression. Never give a bad impression in an industry made up of appearances.
-Know your surroundings and where you fit in. Dont wear a cocktail dress to a party that says casual attire. dont steal anyones sunshine from their own party.
-Balance your outfits with the colors, shapes, textiles. Dont wear too much patterns in one outfit. "skinny jeans" have been in style for awhile, however you have to know when your body type does not work. Balance out the skinny look on the bottom with a flowy top.
That brings me to
-FIT.. have your clothing altered. America has the biggest people, meaning we are curvy and shaply.. Make sure your clothes fit to your body.

It's all about the game people. All about how much you can make your customer, your next boss or even your competition. I am currently at a tradeshow in New Orleans and the most important peice of advice I can give now is to not be afraid of your competition. That means to stay connected with whoever may be in your industry. You've heard of keep your friends close and your enemies closer. The old legend is true. Learn how to work people and the timing is crucial.
Once you've done your research of the market and divided everyone into a friend or enemy then just play the game. Fake it until you make it. Everyone is learning something new from day to day..... So stay on top of the free educational products. Then for the questions your customers, teachers, boss's ask you that you may not know, make up the best logical answer and follow up with however I will double check and follow up with you. Any answer other than I don't know is good customer service.

Also if you are in school studying to become a fashion designer a interior designer or whatever else, you should now begin to introduce yourself as those professions!! Fake it until you make it. It's all the game of life.

Hey!! Wat it do baby.. I'm in v-town. Only 20 still pimpin in vegas doin it big wiith my baby. I will get at u guys in a few days I get back into Dallas tomorrow night. I'll have my pics and style tips up soon so keep it checked. For now check this I met 4 kids yesterday 16 yrs old they r walking around blown up head walkin high stuntin with the sneaks just right. They weren't doin anything but walking around passing out flyers. But guess wat they are here fakin it till they make it. Stay above ur competition because they are all around. But don't hate just work harder and keep that confidence.

Its the end of the summer and all the sales are out but becareful many retailers at this time bring out old merchandiser from past seasons.so you may be thinking your getting a great deal but trust me. You may also see many retailors mark up prices then put them on sale so again you think ur getting a good deal.
Even today I was grocery shopping and saw the 2 for 7. And 4 for 13. It all was just a marketing tool to control you with what to do. Watchout for sales during tax free weekend coming up in a few weeks.

Yo peep this i haven't been on this joint in i don't know how long. my last post i said some shit about how i have this new line called DOCTRINE. That line is still pretty hot, i mean i do wear it. but at this point i would like to make a shout out to my man International~J. He's has the line out of LA called BRAD BUTTER its hott real cute. www.bradbutter.com call me for samples.

ANYWAYS.. so since then i have stopped working with Ed Hardy up at the showroom. I'm working as a store buyer at a store Uptown. That's all i can say because this world is very competitive these days and imma make it if its that last thing i do... WATCH out SARAH ALISE is the *New* designer.. you will be seeing my work out soon.
Actually let me get you updated for what i have been doing. My last gig was a Assistant Stylist for See Pictures the client was for Baylor Hospital, Harris Hospital, H.E.B Hospital and Presbyterian Hospital. The billboards all around the metroplex on all the major highways. I styled that whole photo shoot.

OK so a little fashion help real quick before i hit the sheets.. So the economy sucks right now and the designer apparel prices are now falling... so take advantage of the sale prices. Keep hittn' up all those small vintage boutiques.. or hit up your mans closet for a new look. For the summer months grab a long collared button shirt. roll the sleeves for a prepy look. jazz it up with some bangles on the wrist long shiny earrings.. OOO and this ring which i want ssoo bad from the store i work at. Its a big shinny diamond ring with blue tones in the middle. just have fun with the outfit if the shirt isn't long enough invest in some great booty shorts cuff the hem.. would be real hott if they were high waist. check it.. you never know what you might look amazing in.

My camera wasn't working for the longest time but i got i back and rolling.. actually i never had batteries for it. and i finally remembered to buy some. Buyers when you go to make a purchase for the mens sneakers please check out the pre-packs. watch out for the woman who like the boys shoes too meaning buy the size 6 and 7 in mens FOR THE LADIES.... i mean dang. i think all these sneaks are hott but NOOO one has them in the size 6 or 7s.

TIME MAGAZINES to 10 Fashionable must haves for 2008

1) Ankle Boots- in 2006 we had the high boots even over the knee, then for 2007 we had the ankle boots and booties this trend moved straight into the 2008 era.
2) Vest- The vest was a must have even back in the 70's and guess what Fashion goes around just like the history book so here we are back i the 70s with the vest must have
3) Sunglasses- This fashion trend comes in all shapes and sizes but check out the shapes for 2008.. the bigger the better
4) High waist Denim- throughout the years denim has always been apart of the top 10 most fashionable items however for 2008 the denim is more fitted with a higher waist band.
5) Sparkle accessories wallets- accessories is what makes or breaks an outfit, for 2008 more sparkle is added, more embellishments
6) Graphic Tees (my add in)- most definitely a must you have to always express your style and with a graphic tee you
7) Cocktail rings- again another the bigger the better, colorful is always good,
8) Fedora- crank up your styles always good for a bad hair day. matched with the shades
9) Colored tights- step away from the basic black tights for awhile. step up to the spring colors
10) Red Lipstick- always brightens your face and makes your teeth appear whiter
11) Tent Dress- in 2006 it was all about the skin and the more you showed the better, then 2007 was more about emphasizing the curves of a woman now into 2008 its cover the curves and emphasize the legs of a woman with the short tent dress.

yo whats goin on up in your world..

I havent paid much attention to this site because i have just been running myself crazy.. but i wanted to jump on here and let you know what im all about at this time.
SO you can see i through up some pics that i had on my comp of when i was in vegas and also some ppl i work with. I showed you a couple pics that was stating what style was.. and i wanted to let you know that its all about the swagger and confidence you have when you wear what you have on.. YES so you can wear WHATEVER you put your mind to and look hott while wearing it... just make sure you carry your confidence level in your back pocket.
Ok so there was a fashion show in the west end on saturday night last saturday night... and i unfortunately did not make it but i wanted to tell you a little of what went on...

so there were separate slots or showings in the show.. there was a basic classic and a rock pop type thing that went on.. ok well really i dont remember what it was.
BUT anyways there is another show coming up sometime soon, there's a couple girls in the office that are working on the show for Ed Hardy, Artful Dodger, Garbege, Greedy Genius, so check out those lines and i will update you with when and where.

whats the deal with the HIGH WAISTED pants? what do you guys think.. do they look like the "MOMMY jean?" or are they hott and sexy... you guys know what i mean... the pants with the waistband up over the belly button.. most people wear these pants to try to cover up some belly fat.. however what most women dont understand is that trying to squeeze all the junk in that trunk into a pair of pants that is not your size.. makes your fat the focal point of the outfit!! SOO try on the jeans and bend over.. if you can still breath and all the buttons are still in tact then you know that.. you must be in the right size BUT there is more to that. make sure the zipper is not about to bust and that you are still comfortable sitting and standing.
ok onto the next thing.. what about all that denim? like a denim jumper from head to toe? what are you thoughts on that? HOT OR NOT?

QUICK STYLE TIPS on the run

1) GOTTA have that confidence.. most of the everyday styles are inspired by the celebrities.. BUT check this out.. those celebrities get the know-how from their stylist and they get the confidence from inside themselves.
2) DEFINE YOUR STYLE... know what your working with...(dont go out and buy ANYTHING) JUST go to your clothest and rumbage through what fits nicely on your body ( and i will get more in depth with that at another time) then decide what kind of style you may have forexample: Business dress up type, school modest, funky fresh, bold and beautiful, pretty and sassy, workin it out meaning you through it together when it has to happen. JUST define that style and work with it. have fun with your body and dress as if you were on stage everyday.

I found a quote out of a book called Effortless Style "Life is a stage, clothes are your costumes and you will only be judged if you judge others"

Ok another piece of advice really quickly before i get back to work..

BE AN INDIVISUAL. dont follow the crowd.. become your own style, lets start there know what you are comfortable in and know your boundaries BUT also know when to take a risk and step out of the box.
Im trying to get my computer set up in my own place so i can hit you guys up with all the amazing pics from when i was in vegas BUT thats not happening yet.. but it will be soon!

Just the Beginning to a long journey

Hey guys,
I just got back from Las Vegas yesterday, i was up there for the semi annual Magic/Project show. For all of you who don't know what that is its basically a huge convention center where each clothing line from around the world sets up booths to show the new deliveries that are coming out for next year. Of course you have to rent out a booth so mostly only the higher more well known clothing lines are there or those up-in-coming designers have a small booth set up. Anyways the reason why i brought that up was because, the entire week i was gone i was surround by all these very talented creative people and now its my turn to start what i have been wanting to do my whole life, which is start a men's clothing line, I don't have all the details yet about the price point or age range... well i don't have any details yet, i just wanted to see what you guys out there were looking for right at this very moment.
Once i get more into the blogging everyday then i will share with you all of my fashion advice that i love to give. I'm a freelance stylist right now while i am in school so that is a little about myself. I'm ready to start my stylist column so here i am, i need some feed back tho about what you guys are liking in the fashion world and your age and sex would really help to see where you are at in the spectrum.

Here is the first little bit of fashion help:::

WE ARE BACK IN THE 80's and we are definetly bringing sexy back, so put on those tight stretch slim fit denim and that crazy funky hair with bright color shirts and jazz up the outfit will some big and bold danglying necklaces.
AND as for the guys out there... get it funky.. while i was in Vegas i notice almost every guys outfit and the biggest thing for guys right now is the confidence.. no matter how fresh you dress just make sure you have that swagger to go with it.. The graphic tees are a must as well as plain tees with big bold lettering. ALSO you have those neon colors coming back. so make it happen boys and please stay out of the abercrombie section exspecially if you are over 17!! come on now theres much better style out there then that!

NOW thats that.. keep it funky love your self and keep making those dreams come true, all you have to do is believe and have that faith in yourself and the man upstairs.
